Communications: Ports (Remote/Local Service)

All types of communications (all ports):
The rule applies to communications using any port.

Only the types of communications or ports listed below:
The rule applies to the ports listed. You can add ports to, or remove ports from, the list.

The rules assistant by default will enter the the remote service/port being used.

As discussed in "Ephemeral Ports" you could restrict the local service/port to the ephemeral ports or temp range. You would select Local > Port Range > Starting port 1024 > Ending port 5000. rules creation local ports
Should you have to select a remote service/port during manual rule creation, a list of known ports is available to choose from or you can specify individual port(s)/range. rules creation remote ports
