Communications: Ports (Remote/Local Service)
Specifies the types of communications, or ports, that are controlled by this rule.
All types of communications (all ports):
The rule applies to communications using any port.

The rule applies to the ports listed. You can add ports to, or remove ports from, the list.
The rules assistant by default will enter the the remote service/port being used.
| As discussed in "Ephemeral Ports" you could restrict the local service/port to the ephemeral ports or temp range. You would select Local > Port Range > Starting port 1024 > Ending port 5000. |

| Should you have to select a remote service/port during manual rule creation, a list of known ports is available to choose from or you can specify individual port(s)/range. |
