AtGuard/NIS Rule Sets

In the following sections and pages we will provide samples of how to customize rules.

With AtGuard and NIS/NPF v1.x and v2.x users access all the firewall rules in one location, the Firewall Tab. As noted earlier, firewall rules are processed from top to bottom.

As of NIS/NPF v3.x and above the firewall rules were split into three sections: System Wide, Application, Trojan (Final Block). System rules are placed at the top of the rule set, Application rules in the middle and Trojan (Final Block) at the end.

The following images are simply illustrating what a completed customized rule set might look like. The interface displayed is that of the AtGuard firewall.
