AtGuard/NIS UtilitiesLog Viewer by Sven Schaefer "Log Viewer is a freeware Event Log Viewer for Norton Internet Security and AtGuard. Log Viewer provides a tabular representation of the information that you otherwise find as a text list or text narrative using the Event Log Viewer available in AtGuard and Norton Internet Security. Log Viewer will help to analyze the various events your Firewall application has permitted and/or blocked and the alerts you may have encountered. By providing additional information about logged events including information about the rules and applications involved Log Viewer can help to improve your rule settings, understand how, whether and why certain logged events are occurring and identify repeated potential unauthorized communications attempts." "This freeware application will notify you about a Firewall alert event by playing a customizable alarm sound and provides easy access to some of the NIS/AG features." Features

"Many people don't share the AtGuard & NIS Rules or AdBlocks because it's to much typing. (and open, copy and close each setting separately). This is a little program to easily copy/print the AtGuard rules or Adblocks. It reads the registry and put all the key's (rules & adblocks) in one window. Now you've only to do one Copy and Paste click to get them in a message." Albert's NIS Rules also has tools to activate the "Dashboard" from AtGuard (and still in early versions of NIS/NPF) and the ability to backup/export and restore/import your rules. This utility will not work with NIS Pro v. 4.5 and later. NIS Settings by Albert Janssen "A little program to display/copy the settings from AtGuard and NIS. Just for trouble shooting or to easy share it on Newsgroups/Forums. For both firewalls in plain text and for NIS also one screen with all the settings." This utility will not work with NIS Pro v. 4.5 and later. This program will play a alarm, sound/movie/speaker-beep, and shows a visual tray icon alarm. It reacts if a rule event take place that normally activates the dashboard notification icon. That happens only when in the settings of a rule the "show notification in the dashboard when this rule is logged" is checked. (on the "Logging Tab" ) *** Web Site ***

ProWAGoN by Christian Haagensen Gontijo "The AGNIS block lists (see above) can be used with these more recent versions of Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall:
(Note: ad blocking is new to NPF in NPF 2003 v. 6.0.) ...however, users of those versions of NIS and NPF must use the ProWAGoN block list utility to add, remove, and backup block lists. Due to anti-tampering mechanisms introduced in these versions of NIS and NPF, the standard means of merging block lists into the Registry will not work. If you're running any of the NIS or NPF versions listed above, do not attempt to manually merge an AGNIS block list into the Registry or manipulate your block list by using the AGNIS.BAT batch file utility included with AGNIS. Use the ProWAGoN utility instead." ***Web Site***
"This package contains a full menu of custom Import XML files that can be used to manipulate IE6's handling of cookies in the Internet and Trusted zones (the Privacy tab controls only the Internet zone). The files are divided into three sets: one "short list" of recommended files, and two "advanced" lists containing a wide range of possible Privacy configurations. The ReadMe covers the basics of using custom XML Import files and details all the files that are available. A .REG file that can be used to restore the default Privacy tab settings is included." (XML-Menu can be found under IE6 Tools) *** Web Site ***
